Thacher School

Mulligan Hall

Ojai, California

Thacher School is a highly selective, co-educational, independent boarding school located on 427 acres of hillside overlooking the Ojai Valley.

Now under construction, a new dining hall for the school revitalizes the heart of the campus with inviting and highly functioning spaces that better serve daily and yearly traditions.

The 344 on campus student residents, faculty, and staff enjoy an All-You-Care-To-Eat dining experience. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served in a scramble type self-service system. For formal Friday night meals, one or more of the platforms will act as restaurant style chef’s counter where the serving staff (select students) will pick up platters of food to be placed at every table family style.

This kitchen exceeds our expectations! The front-of-house design is open for the students, it allows them to see the variety of food on offer compared to the old kitchen where students did not have that option.”
